This bench is made from old Sussx oak. The tree stood in sussex for over three hundred years before falling in high winds.

The bench displays a wealth of character including knotty features, dovetails, heavy grain figuring and medullary rays. The undercarriage and spindles have be crafted from quatersawn oak to ensure perfectly straight grain and uncompromised strength. The scultptural form honours the inherant grain structures within the wood.
