These nesting bowls form a single piece and are made from the same English Oak tree that stood in the West Sussex countryside for over two centuries. Colours and tones ebb and flow through mellow golden browns and warm oak hues into deeper browns and earthy notes. A subtle ripple in the grain catches the light in the bottom of the bowls and medullary rays are plentiful. The shimmering ripples give the oak it’s name of Rippled Oak and is commonly caused by compression points within the tree’s structure as limbs mature and begin to sink with weight.
